If you are a WISE Greater Orlando member looking to become more involved in the leadership and direction of our chapter, now is a perfect time to apply to join the board of directors or a committee! We have several current and upcoming vacancies we are looking to fill - read on for descriptions and how to apply.

Committee: 

• Chair, Sponsorship Committee - position will focus on overall partnership strategy and leadership of committee members to support revenue goals
• Member, Events Committee - position focus may vary depending on candidate's strengths
• Member, Marketing & Communications Committee - position focus may vary depending on candidate's strengths
• Member, Membership Committee - position focus may vary depending on candidate's strengths
• Member, Sponsorship Committee - position focus may vary depending on candidate's strengths

Position Descriptions: 

Secretary: 

• Capture and communicate minutes of all meetings of WISE Greater Orlando, documents and papers as the Board determines and keep custody of the corporate seal
• Manage the bylaws
• Ensure the board is following proper procedures with motions and votes
• Track board attendance
• Take accurate meeting minutes and distribute in a timely manner
• Maintain registration with Secretary of State
• Maintain IRS designation with Treasurer
• Provide all notices to the board including meetings, elections and proxies           
• Other duties as assigned by Board

Treasurer: 

• Manage and reconcile annual budget
• Review and share monthly financial reports from Finance Task Force Chair for Board review
•  Maintain IRS designation, the annual 990 filing and other state financial related filings such as solicitation of charitable contributions, the Florida Business Tax filings and preparation of the annual report
•  Provide WISE National & Board President with a copy of the year-end financial report and/or 990 filing
•  Provide monthly financial update to board at monthly meetings (provided by Finance Task Force Chair)
• Primary contact for the chapter checking account; writes checks and communicates to President/Vice President check signature needs
• Other duties as assigned by Board

Board Member: 

• Advisory / oversight of chapter
• Liaison to assigned committee (as applicable)
• Budget and Strategic Plan approval (annually)
• Community support and fostering of connections
• Introduction to potential sponsors
• Attend chapter events

Chair, Sponsorship Committee: 

• Provide leadership to support partner relationships and revenue goals
• Decision making authority for the sponsorship committee
• Develop clear roles for committee members
• Assist in development and implementation of annual strategic plan and budget
• Innovation and development/execution of new ideas
• Timely reporting and communication to the board / assigned board liaison
• Attend chapter events 

Committee Members (all): 

• Support committee chairs in creation and execution of committee-specific initiatives
• Assist in development and implementation of annual strategic plan and budget
• Innovation and development/execution of new ideas
• Other duties as assigned by committee chair
• Attend chapter events
